FAQ

What is your cancellation policy (for adventure trips, mid-day walks and transportation services)?

Due to our commitment to working with only small groups of dogs, we must adhere to a strict cancellation policy.  All cancellations or changes must be made two weekdays prior to the scheduled visit by 8am.  So a Tuesday walk or adventure trip must be canceled by the previous Friday by 8am.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, but it is the only way we can maintain small group sizes.

What about inclement weather?

In the event of inclement weather, we try to be as responsive and helpful as possible.  Club Wags DOES NOT follow the inclement weather policy of a particular county or school district.  In the event of serious inclement weather where it may be dangerous for our staff to travel, all services will be canceled.  If an emergency situation arises such, we will attempt to accommodate every client as best as we can on an individual basis.  Mid-day walks will only be canceled in severe weather.  Adventure excursions will require relatively good weather, and in the event that weather is not severe but not appropriate for an adventure trip, we will convert your dog’s adventure trip visit to a 25 minute mid-day walk and only charge for that service.  All inclement weather announcements are made via email by 6am of that morning. If your school district cancels school but Club Wags has not canceled service, you do have the option to cancel service with no additional charge.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We currently accept checks. Direct credit card processing is coming soon.  We do not handle any cash transactions.

When do you bill?

All payments are pre-paid.

Are you licensed and insured?

Absolutely. We are a licensed LLC and are fully insured. We will be happy to provide you with documentation if requested. In addition, we strictly adhere to all county, dog park and other park rules at all times.

What safety precautions do you take?

Every precaution you can probably think of! We start by having very small group sizes or services that only cater to one dog.  We follow your exact instructions for leash and collars, and do not take dogs off-leash under any circumstances (except for double-gated dog parks during adventure excursions).  In addition, windows are only partially opened for ventilation and all dogs are securely leashed when riding in the car.  All our staff carries backup supplies and water, and most are or will shortly be certified in canine first aid.

Where do you go for adventure trips?

We typically hike and/or go to dog parks in the greater metro area. The focus is to exercise your dog for a full hour or more.  A typical day will include a combination of two or more activities.

Can I inspect your service when my dog is with you?

Absolutely, since you trust us with your family member, you deserve nothing less than 100% transparency. You may show up announced or unannounced anytime (we can forward you that week’s expected travel schedule in the case of adventure trips). In addition, we share notes, photos and videos with our clients on a regular basis.
